Our B Corp Journey

Every Business Needs a Lynch Pin

There's a small metal pin that holds together nearly everything with moving parts. It's easy to miss. It's never the piece anyone points to in a photo of a machine. But pull it out, and the whole thing comes apart in your hands.

That's the picture we built a company around. And on 30 June 2026, we signed our name to something that made that picture a little more official. Lynch Pin Holdings is now a Certified B Corporation.

A promise that was already part of who we are

Our journey has always been guided by one idea: Better Leaders. Better Culture. Better Business. But somewhere along the way, that idea grew into something bigger. We didn't just want to build better businesses. We wanted business itself, ours included, to be a force for good.

That belief didn't arrive with a certificate. It arrived first, and the certificate came later, because we went looking for a way to prove it.

2024: taking on the challenge

So back in 2024, we took on a challenge that felt a little daunting at the time. We wanted to understand, properly, what it actually takes to become a certified B Corp.

It wasn't a simple checklist. B Corp asks hard questions about how a company treats its people, its community, and the planet it operates in, and it asks you to prove the answers, not just say them.

The self-assessment that changed the question

To find out where we stood, we ran ourselves through a self-assessment. We went in expecting a long list of everything we'd need to fix.

Instead, we found something we didn't expect. We realised we already had the potential to become a B Corp. The years spent trying to live out "Better Leaders. Better Culture. Better Business." had quietly built more of the foundation than we knew.

That's when the question stopped being "could we?" and became "let's make this real."

Putting our commitment in writing

The first real step was to shape that intention into an actual business model and commitment, and put it where anyone could see it. We published it on our own website, in plain words: as part of our B Corp journey, we pledge to contribute 3% of profits from every event to support our social-impact partners, organisations uplifting communities through education, empowerment, and opportunity.

It was our way of saying we wanted to help make the world a little better, and meaning it enough to write it down where our own clients could hold us to it.

Rewriting the rules we run on

Along the way, we realised a pledge on a website wasn't enough on its own. Words can be quietly forgotten. So we went back into our own constitution, the legal document our board actually runs on, and amended it.

Now, when our board of directors makes a decision, it is legally required to consider the interests of our employees, our community, and the environment alongside profit, not purely for profit. That change doesn't show up in a press release. It's the part that outlasts any one good quarter, or any one good intention.

Getting our house in order

That same framework also gave us a reason to do something we'd been meaning to do for a while: get all our documents in order, or as close to all of them as we could manage.

B Corp doesn't take your word for it. It asks you to show that you are actually doing what you say, not just doing things blindly without proper process. So we went through as much documentation as we could find, put it in order, and made sure we could point to the how, not just the intention. It took a while. It was worth it.

What we learned along the way

This part of the journey taught us things we didn't know we needed to know. We learned about living wages in Malaysia, and how far the gap can be between what's legally required and what someone actually needs to live with dignity. We learned about building regenerative businesses, ones that aim to leave more behind than they take.

Neither idea came from a form. They came from doing the work, and they've stayed with us since.

Making our statement

As we moved through the final stages of our B Corp journey, we took part in the B Corp Asia Summit 2026 alongside our partners at KIAN. It was our chance to stand up and say, publicly, that we were serious about this path and everything it represented.

30 June 2026: a key milestone

Not long after, we completed the certification process. We signed the agreement and the Declaration of Interdependence on 30 June 2026, a key milestone in our B Corp journey.

What this actually means for you

There is one thing we want to say honestly, and without any spin: very little changes for you.

Same team. Same care. Same Lynch Pin experience you've always had with us.

What's different is where a little more of it goes. As part of this commitment, 3% of profits from every event we run goes toward social enterprises creating opportunities for the people and communities they serve. And it doesn't stop at a transfer of money. At every single event, we make it a point to actually work with them, partners like Dignity for Children Foundation, Deaf in Business, Silent Teddies Bakery, Tender Hearts Cafe, Epic Homes, and Miss Coco Cafe.

So when you book us to invest in your leaders, a little bit of that investment now reaches further than either of us will ever see.

Just the beginning

Even though this journey was a major learning curve for us, this certification only marks the beginning of our B Corp journey. We realised, more than anything, how many opportunities we still have to improve and tighten up, so that we can truly help make the world a better place through our business, and so our business can truly be a force for good.

That's fine by us. We will keep working to cultivate Better Leaders. Better Culture. Better Business.

The Lynch Pin Team

Lynch Pin Holdings is a leadership and culture development company built around the belief that everybody matters, from the leaders in the room to the teams, families, and communities their work eventually reaches.

Lynch Pin Holdings signed its B Corp agreement and Declaration of Interdependence on 30 June 2026, a key milestone after a certification journey that began with an internal self-assessment in 2024.

B Corp certification is a global standard for companies that use business as a force for good, evaluating a company's impact on workers, customers, community, and the environment, not just its profits.

Lynch Pin Holdings pledges 3% of profits from every event it runs to social-impact partners, organisations uplifting communities through education, empowerment, and opportunity.

Lynch Pin works directly with Dignity for Children Foundation, Deaf in Business, Silent Teddies Bakery, Tender Hearts Cafe, Epic Homes, and Miss Coco Cafe at every event it runs.

Very little. Clients get the same team, the same care, and the same Lynch Pin experience. The difference is that a share of every event now reaches further, into the communities Lynch Pin's partners serve.
